Dochula Druk Wangyel Festival

One of the Tsechu festivals is Druk Wangyel which is alos considered as one of a unique festival of the country as the dances are performed by the Royal army of Bhutan. The festival is also a tribute to the fourth king i.e His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuk who personally led the troops against the insurgents and the regular Armed Forces. The festival is also celebrate as the bravery of the armyu protecting the country and maintaining the sovereignty and stability in the country.

The Dochula Druk Wangyel festival is bacially celebrated in Thimphu the capital city of the country at the Druk Wangyel ground and was established in 2011. It’s a one day celebration which held on 13th of the December every year and will held on the same date this year too.
